Another exciting event that I am privileged to experience, is my visit to Northern England and Scotland. It will be nonetheless of a amazing experience, full of castles, beautiful countryside, and remarkable culinary experiences. I would like to bring you along on the journey!

I will arrive into Manchester, England be picked up and driven to our first stop, Conwy Town, Wales, a world heritage site with an imposing thirteenth-century castle and walls. We will visit the Conwy Castle built for Edward I. The castle is among the finest surviving medieval fortifications in Britain. The sculpture called “The Guard” seemed like a great photo opportunity!

I'll continue on to a Tea House, enjoy some wonderful home-made pastries, and will be treated to a home-hosted dinner with a local Welsh family where multiple courses of freshly prepared food were abundant. Quintess Travels takes pride on offering these types of authentic experiences for our clients that will definitely create a life-long memory.

We will visit Liverpool, which has an incredible history besides being the birthplace of the Beatles! I did the Tower Tour and visited the new Magical Beatles Museum. This is a spectacular destination for those die-hard Beatles fans. The Cavern Club, which is where the Beatles got their start, was such fun with a live performer singing all Beatles songs.

I will then head to the beautiful Lake District of Northern England. First stop was the Bronte Parsonage Museum. It’s the former home of one of the most famous literary families. The Bronte sisters, Anne, Charlotte, and Emily wrote books you may recognize such as Wuthering Heights and Jayne Eyre. When we arrived in the Lake District, we were treated to another famous literary hero, William Wordsworth and introduced to his home, Rydal Mount, which was a beautiful and serene property that inspired his many famous poems. Ending the day, we check into our property surrounded by spectacular countryside, Linthwaite House. All I can say is “breathtaking”!

One of the highlights of my journey will be the Beatrix Potter tour. Of course, she was famous for her book of Peter Rabbit and the tour of her quaint little home was enjoyable.

On our way to Edinburgh we stop off at Vindolanda. Vindolanda was a Roman auxiliary fort just south of Hadrian's Wall in northern England, which it originally pre-dated from roughly 85 AD to 370 AD. Archaeological digs are currently taking place there.

After a beautiful drive along Northern England’s countryside, the arrival into Edinburgh will be so exciting and much anticipated. We immediately will go on a walking tour of Edinburgh that also includes the Edinburgh Castle.

The golden ring at the end of this experience is the Whiskey Tasting at the beautiful Balmoral Hotel in their formal Scotch Bar. The next day we will do a Private 3-hour Bohemian Broughton Street Safari which tantalized the taste buds. Again, lots of walking to invigorate the appetite.

The experience will be memorable as this is a beautiful part of the UK. We will be suggesting it to all our clients after we personally experience it first hand...

Before closing, we would like to bring you up to speed on our latest accomplishment.
